BROOKVILLE - Delbert R. Hoover, 93, of Brookville, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at Brookhaven . He was born May 25, 1919, in Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton B. and Alma C. (Beaver) Hoover; beloved wife, Hazel M. (McKirby) Hoover; brother, Marion Hoover; sisters, Elsie Hoover and Esther Dettwiler; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Raymond L. and Jane Hoover of Troy; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and John Karns of Dayton; Lois and Ray Fuson of West Milton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Delbert was retired from General Motors after 35 years of service, a member of West Milton Senior Citizens, attended Brethren in Christ Church of Pleasant Hill, enjoyed vacationing in Florida and loved to fish.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton with Pastor John Weaver officiating, burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Hale-Sarver.
