David H. Nicodemus (1930 - 2018)

TRENTON, Ohio — David H. Nicodemus, age 88, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home. He was born May 31, 1930, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of Herschel and Tina (Foster) Nicodemus.

David was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was active in masonic organizations, High Point Lodge #773, where he was Master in 1984 and 1994, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Middletown Council and Middletown Commandery. David was a member of the St. Luke Presbyterian Church, and served as an Elder. He retired from Armco Steel, where he worked in the Tubing Department.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Wagoner) Nicodemus; a daughter, Jeanine (husband, Scott) Frank; son, Dave (wife, Kelly) Nicodemus; two grandchildren, Daniel Nicodemus and Carly (fiancé, Josh Russell) Nicodemus; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Nicodemus and Christian Russell; and a sister, Virginia Kaufman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday at the St. Luke United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Richard Sedgwick and the Rev. Janet Dillaman officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Burial with military honors will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Presbyterian, 280 N. Breiel Blvd. Middletown, OH 45042.
