SIDNEY - Delma Mae (Morey) Thorne, 99, of 302 Belmont St., Sidney, went to greet her loving husband Fred at Heav-en's Gates at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at The Pavilion Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Delma was born May 20, 1913, in Houston, the daughter of the late Sulvinus and Valeria (Mix) Morey. Delma was married to H. "Fred" Thorne, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Delma is survived by her children, daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Jim Snider of Piqua, her sons, Larry Thorne of Sidney and Gary Thorne of Toledo; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Thorne of Sidney and Florida; grandchildren, Steve and Kay Snider of Piqua, Don and Cris Snider of Fletcher, Tim Snider of Covington, Doug and Kelly Snider of Piqua, Tom and Ann Snider of Covington, Rob and Beth Thorne of Sidney, Steve and Kelly Thorne of Sidney, Amy Thorne, of California, and Amanda and Jeremy (Thorne) Pritchard of California; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Delma was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, Janet Thorne, of Sidney; one son, Robert "Bob" Thorne of Sidney; sisters, Susie Morey, Lydia (Morey) Hiser, Erma (Morey) Sharp; brothers, Ural Morey and Otis Morey.
Delma graduated from Houston High School and retired from Lord's Dress Shop. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Sidney. She had volunteered at FISH and with the Football Moms, and for many activities at the church.
Delma enjoyed sewing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with the Rev. Philip Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be on from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The First Christian Church-DOC, 320 E. Russell Road, Sidney, OH, 45365. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
All arrangements are in care of the staff at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
