Dennis W. Bundschuh

TROY — Dennis W. Bundschuh, age 72, of Troy, passed away at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born Jan. 14, 1946, in Piqua, OH to the late Charles W. and Virginia (Combs) Bundschuh. He was then raised by his maternal aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Russ Morris. He married Kathryn (Wills) Bundschuh on July 2, 1965, in Piqua. She survives.

He is also survived by one daughter and fiancé: Rebecca Cooper and Donald Francoeur, Troy, OH; one son and daughter-in-law: Douglas and Shari Bundschuh, Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren: Zach Cooper, Haley Cooper, Sarah Bundschuh, Daniel Bundschuh, and Hannah Bundschuh; two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Lucy and Bob Fess, Piqua, OH, Mickie Wills, Troy, OH; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Bill Wills Jr.

Dennis was a 1964 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He graduated from Sinclair Community College, Dayton, OH, with an Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Dennis was a member of the Eagles in Troy, the Moose in Ft. Myers, FL, and a life member of the Dayton Section – American Society for Quality. He worked in Quality Assurance at B.F. Goodrich, where he retired after 38 years.

He also previously owned the Nicklin Avenue Market. He spent his winters at Sun-N-Fun in Fort Myers, FL. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Dennis was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan.

A celebration of Dennis's life will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Kyle Kirchner officiating. Family will receive friends Thursday 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
