Kenneth Paul Voris

PIQUA — Kenneth Paul Voris, 81, of Piqua, died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. He was born March 28, 1937, in Troy, to the late William and Hazel (Printz) Voris. He married Deanna Randall in 1992, in Piqua, and she preceded him in death in 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Bradley (Peggy) Voris of Houston, Texas, Joseph (Tracy) Voris of Tipp City, Todd (Shelly) Voris of Troy; one daughter, Nicole (Ken) Shiverdecker of Casstown; five grandchildren, Tanner (Lydia) Sanderson, Brad (Sheri) Voris, Rusty Voris, Casey Voris, Kayla Voris; one great-grandchild and expecting two more; his former spouse, Barbara Voris; a brother, Larry Voris of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; and a sister-in-law Marjorie Voris of Troy.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Lowell, William, Russell, Thomas, Wayne, Malcolm; and one sister, Orpha Jean Voris.

Mr. Voris attended Troy High School, then went on to serve proudly in the United States Navy. He worked for many years as an exterminator for Ohio Exterminating in Columbus, from which he retired in 1962.

He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and playing Wii Bowling, in which he was very talented, and bowled a few 300 games. He was extremely patriotic and enjoyed collecting statues of bald eagles.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, where full military honors will be provided by the Veteran's Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the funeral home.
