Margaret C. Tilton

PIQUA — Margaret C. Tilton, 92, of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at 7:30 a.m. at the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Casstown, to the late Merle and Eva (Shank) Tamplin. She married Harold E. Tilton on Dec. 6, 1946, in Piqua, he preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Bob) Hines of Piqua; a granddaughter Hope (Ron) Davis of Tipp City; one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Davis; one great-grandson, Aaron Davis of Tipp City; two brothers, Robert Tamplin of Tacoma, Washington, Dean Tamplin of Piqua; two sisters, Goldie Herron of Piqua, Eileen Levering of Greenville; and her dear faithful friend and companion, Robert Lillicrap of Piqua.

She was preceded in death by six siblings, twin brother Marvin, Josephine, Harold, Daryl, June and Shirley.

Mrs. Tilton was a 1945 graduate of Piqua High School and retired in 1985 as an account supervisor at the Orr Felt Company for over 31 years. In 1996, she returned to work at Winan's as a bookkeeper.

She warmed the hearts of her family and many friends with her devoted love and kindness. Her life was a true gift from God for everyone to enjoy for over 92 beautiful years. We take comfort in knowing she will be in God's presence forever.

Her family extends grateful appreciation, from the bottom of their hearts, to the doctors and nurses who took wonderful and loving care of her.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Chaplain Edward Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
