FLETCHER - Margaret Elizabeth Wilt, 102, of Fletcher, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 2:50 p.m. in the Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney. Born on March 12, 1911, in Brunswick, Md., she was a daughter of the late George Henry and Susan Elizabeth (Fisher) Joy.
She married Roy Sylvester Wilt on Aug. 29, 1929, and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1972. Together they raised two daughters, Rosalie (Charles) Morris Jr. of Piqua and Rosemary Anderson of Fletcher. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Morris III, five brothers, Clarence R., Earl, Floyd, Melvin and Leonard Joy and one sister, Ethel Emmart.
Margaret attended Brunswick High School and worked as a bookkeeper for several years. She was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Suber Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Ed Sollenberger of the Lena Baptist Church presiding. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Suber Shively Funeral Home.
