CASSTOWN - Robert A. Sphar, 74, of Casstown, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1938, in Troy, to the late Walter G. and Minnie (Cain) Sphar. Robert is survived by two sons, Matthew Sphar of Columbus and Michael Sphar of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two grandchildren, Mallory and Breckenridge Sphar; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and James Williams of Casstown and Ruth and Eddie Heffner of Vero Beach, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lois Sphar of Greenville; and by his extended family and many friends.
Robert was a graduate of Troy High School and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was member of the AMVETS Post 88, the American Legion Post 43, Troy Fish & Game and the Moose Lodge, all of Troy. He was the owner of the former B & J Lawn Care Service.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Casstown Cemetery.
