Roy Lee Coffield (1952 - 2018)

PIQUA — Roy Lee Coffield, 65, of Piqua, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at his residence. He was born Sept. 25, 1952, to the late Leroy and Dorothea (Draper) Coffield. He married Patricia Jones Dec. 19, 1986, in Troy, and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, LeRoy (Lindsey) Coffield of Nebraska; a stepdaughter, Shelly Williford Hildreth of Piqua; a stepson, Michael (Stephanie) Williford of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Brandon Hildreth, Pearce Williford, Lily Williford, Colton McGill; a great-granddaughter, Summer Hildreth; two sisters, Patt Van Skiver, Tina Coffield, both of Sidney; three nieces, one nephew, three great-nephews and one great-niece.

Mr. Coffield was a 1971 graduate of Fairlawn High School. He went on to work at Norcold for 25 years as a supervisor and a tow motor driver, from which he retired. He was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved watching NASCAR and NHRA racing. He enjoyed spending his spare time fishing, cooking and butchering meats.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Kris Geise officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
