CHRISTIANSBURG - Sandra A. (McAffe) Moore Adamson, 65, of Christiansburg, passed away at 1:23 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, in her residence. Born on April 26, 1948 in Springfield, Sandy was the daughter of the late Samuel Albert and Margaret Mae (Kimble) McAffe.
Sandy is survived by her fiancé, Robert Dene Lansing, St. Paris. She was a loving mother to five children, four of whom survive, Yudell A. Moore of Falkville, Ala., Loretta M. (Les) Rhodes of Christiansburg, Robert G. (Donna Bell) Moore of Decatur, Ala., and Vanessa M. Adamson of Christiansburg. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include a sister, Etta Mae Nichols of Christiansburg and three brothers, Donald (Helen) Shaw and Charles (Kathy) McAffe, both of Indiana; and Eugene McAffe of Euclid, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Kelly W. Moore; and a grandson, Joseph A. Moore.
Sandy attended Lena Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and camping and was a member of the Elm Valley Fish Club in New Carlisle. She was also a member of the Eagles in Fairborn. She was formerly employed by Loretta's Country Kitchen in Christiansburg.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, Ohio. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
