Timothy A. Vagedes
CHICAGO, Ill. — Timothy A. Vagedes, 54, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of State Route 47, Houston, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2013, at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering. He was born April 9, 1959, in Cincinnati.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Frances (Jones) Vagedes of Houston; three daughters, Melissa Vagedes of Charleston, S.C., Andrea Roebuck of Kettering, Laura Vagedes of Centerville and a stepson, Josh Bishop of Sidney; five grandchildren, Zaviera Brown, J'Von Crooks, Olivia Vagedes, Emilio Hall, and Ayden Bishop; one sister, Teresa & Donald Reck of Kenton along with several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Tim was a 1977 graduate of Russia High School. He then continued studies at Wright State University in the field of political science. He was employed at C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. of Cicero, Ill. and had been involved in commercial door and window sales much of his working life. Tim was an avid Notre Dame sports fan. He also enjoyed golf and fishing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Newport with the Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 3-7 p.m. and Monday from 9-10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
