PIQUA — Kenneth R. Epley, 78, of Piqua, went home to be with the Lord at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at his residence in Piqua. He was born on March 24, 1935, in Tipp City, to the late Marvin Leroy and Lena Irene (Francis) Epley. On Sept. 1, 1956, in Piqua he married Velma Lois Allen. She survives.
Kenneth is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Julie Epley of Nebraska; five daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Adkins and John McKenna, Linda and Steve Nash, Debra and Tim Stengel, Brenda Epley, Mindy and Bob Runkle, all of Piqua; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews along with many friends. Preceded in death by one granddaughter: Danielle Moore; one son-in-law: Dale Adkins along with four brothers and five sisters.
Kenneth worked at Tube Products in Troy for more than 35 years.
Kenneth was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved riding his bike, walking and going to tractor shows.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with Brother Thomas Huelsman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
