VANDALIA — Stephen Kirk Babylon, 56, recently of Vandalia, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Crossroads Nursing and Rehab Center. Stephen was born in Sidney on June 2, 1957 to the (late) Paul Richard and Shirley LaVerne (Lemon) Babylon.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and received many awards and commendations during his time in the service. He worked for many years at Miami Valley Polishing, was member of the Bradford Church of the Brethren, a member of the AMVETS Post #66, Covington, and loved to golf.

Stephen is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Clint Brooks of Brookville, Chelsea Babylon Rojo and Gabriel Rojo of Arizona, and Julie Babylon of Troy; five sisters, Brenda Reed of Bradford, Kathy Colbert of Covington, twin sister, Sherry and husband, Randy Hayslett of Bradford, Lori Pritchard of Covington, Tracy and husband, Rocky Gunnerman of Sidney; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, one great-great-nephew; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford, with Pastor Mark Lynch officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Nursing and Rehab Center, Vandalia.
