PLEASANT HILL — Lloyd 'Chipper' Warren Furlong II, 59 of Pleasant Hill, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Virginia (Cress) Furlong.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Rebecca Furlong; one daughter, Sarah Furlong (Dusty Rue) of Covington; one son, Matthew Furlong of Troy; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Brian and Miranda Roegner of Indianapolis; one grandson, Sayge Furlong; and one granddaughter, Avery Rue, step-grandchildren, Tyler and McKayla Melton; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Andy Edgerly, Marilyn Furlong, Vickie and Keith Ponchillia, Cathy Minkner, Jane Furlong, Rick Shock; 11 nieces and nephews.
Lloyd graduated from Milton-Union High School, Class of 1972, and worked as an agricultural millwright for 38 years (Agra Erectors 34 years, Millniphic LLC 4 years). Lloyd loved his job that took him to nearly all 50 states and was much respected by his co-workers. Lloyd was a hard working many who loved his family dearly. Lloyd also enjoyed riding his 1983 Harley-Davidson Wideglide, watching NASCAR, playing with his dog, Audrey and visiting with his cousin and best friend, Greg Swabb.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor William Harovat Jr. officiating.
