BRADFORD — Robert "Bob" Eugene DeMoss, 81 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Covington Care Center. Bob was born in Franklin Twp, Darke County on Feb. 19, 1933, to the late Earl and Edna Irene (Trost) DeMoss. He retired as a truck driver for Wagner Paving Co., worked for 24 years at Decker and five years for Dinner Bell, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bradford, where he served as Elder. He also was a past member of the Covingtion Lions Club. P
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Ivan DeMoss. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet L. (Brown) DeMoss; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy DeMoss of Mississippi, Melody and David Weaver of Greenville and Lisa and James Collins of Centerville; seven grandchildren, Robert Bagwell, Joshua and Teresa Bagwell, Jerod Bagwell, Heather and Scott Hole, Tiffany and Ed Oswalt, Jay Collins, and Elisabeth Collins; ten great-grandchildren, Mathew, Kirsten, Katelynn, Sarah, John, Jessica, Kayla, Brandon, Julie, and Savannah; four great-great-grandchildren, Averie, twins, Nevaeh and Emma, Braden; brother, Donald Lee DeMoss of Covington; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Irwin Roberts officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
