PLEASANT HILL - Justus Paul "J.P" Shellenberger passed away March 10, 2013, after a courageous fight with cancer.
J.P. was born to Phil and Chris Shellenberger on Nov. 11, 1980, in Ludlow Falls. He graduated from Newton High School in 1999. After graduation, J.P. resided in Ludlow Falls. J.P. was self employed as a truck driver, but his passion was to follow in his father and grandfather's footsteps by assuming responsibilities on the family farm. J.P was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. He loved traveling, camping, fishing and boating; activities he could enjoy with his family.
J.P. is survived by his parents and sister, Kate, of Ludlow Falls.
He was preceded in death, by maternal grandparents, Justus Dale and Ruth (Inman) Kyser; and paternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Jean (North) Shellenberger.
Funeral services will be held 11 am. Friday, at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 300 East Monument St., Pleasant Hill, with Pastor Nick Beam officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Pleasant Hill.
