ST. PARIS - Kenneth Michael Riffle, 64, of St. Paris, passed away at 1:58 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
He was born Oct. 14, 1948, the son of the late John B. and Beatrice L (Young) Riffle. He is survived by four children, Jason (Jennifer) Riffle of Christiansburg, Kristie (Donta) Medley of St. Paris, Amanda Wolfe and Cathy (Drew) Schneider, both of Christiansburg.
Kenneth was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren. Kenneth was a 1968 graduate of Gallia Academy, Gallipolis. He served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 97, Dayton, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign wars of the United States post 9966 of New Carlisle. He was formerly employed by L.T.V Copperweld, Piqua.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with Pastor Josh Kespelher of the First Church of God presiding. Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery with Military Honors by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
