She met Willis "Willie" Knierim in Boulder and they married in 1962. Pattie was a teacher of mathematics in Boulder Valley Schools and at Front Range Community College. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, two sons, Kurt (Barb) and their children Megan and Ethan of Fort Collins, and Peter (Heather) and their children Delia, Hayley, and Spencer of Boulder, and a sister, Orpha Behee of Frankfort, KY. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 4:00-8:00 PM at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., in Longmont. A service of Celebration of Pattie's life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Boulder on Friday, May 17 at 1:00 PM.
