Dolores David left this life on November 25, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born in Teeds Grove, Iowa, to Marcus and Marie Hass. She grew up in Clinton, Iowa, where she met and married her late husband of 50 years, John David. Dolores raised her children, retired and spent her retirement delighting in her beloved grandsons, Matthew and Connor Twist. Dolores was blessed to be closely surrounded by her family, dear friends and neighbors. Dolores worked at National State Bank after raising her children. She left work to take on her most cherished role in life-full-time grandmother. There was no more loving and dedicated grammy. She adored her grandsons and they her. Dolores will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by: her daughter Angela David Twist of Boulder; grandsons Matthew and Connor John Twist of Boulder; son John David of Las Vegas; son Greg David of Lafayette; daughter Joan Oldfield; grandson Barney Oldfield; sister Marcia Gross; brothers Gene and Ron Hass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Wounded Soldier Society or Hospice of Boulder Country at hospicecareonline.org. Dolores David's life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, at 9:00 a.m. in a Catholic mass at Saint Martin De Porres in Boulder followed by light refreshments.
