Duane Weibel

Duane Irwin Weibel, Sr. passed away February 13, 2014, in Louisville, CO. He was 71 years old. He was born on January 10, 1943 in Meadville, PA to Irwin August Weibel and Rachael Janet Dillaman. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Irwin (Bud) August Weibel. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Weibel (Miller), daughter Krista Weibel Maly (Steve), son Duane I. Weibel, Jr. (Jonna), his mother, Rachael Janet Dillaman Weibel, brothers Douglas Weibel (Connie) and Dwight Weibel (Nancy), grandchildren Cassidy Maly, Matthew Maly, Lukas Maly, Blake Maly, Brody Weibel, and Jessa Weibel. Duane grew up in Conneautville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Conneaut Valley High School and Alleghany College. He joined the Air Force in 1961 and was stationed for a year in Greenland. After honorable discharge from the Air Force, he met and married Rose Marie Miller on March 19, 1966. He and his family moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1985. He worked at Kamen Supply in Denver. From 1991 to 1994, Duane ran his own outfitting business, Double D Outfitters. In 1996 he became owner/operator of Boulder Kitchen and Bath, Inc. which he ran until his death. Duane had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding his horses. Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday February 20, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, CO. Funeral service 10:00 AM Friday February 21, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment 1:30 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
