Emma Soper Campbell

Emma Soper Campbell, 90, of Boulder, died Sun., Dec. 30, 2012 at Frasier Meadows Manor Health Care. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wed., Jan. 16th, St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 2425 Colorado Ave., Boulder. A reception will follow at the church. Emma was born on Oct. 6, 1922, in Normal, IL, to Horace Adams Soper and Anne Bell Soper. She married Robert T. Campbell on Dec. 29, 1942, in Bloomington, IL. Emma graduated from the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York. She attended Northwestern University where she majored in music. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi. Emma was a member of the Boulder Community Hospital Auxiliary, serving as its president for two years. She was one of the original volunteers at the Pink Door Thrift Shop operated by the auxiliary and was its treasurer for many years. Emma was a member of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church. Survivors include two sons, Theodore Reed Campbell and Robert Soper (Deborah) Campbell, both of Bailey, CO; two grandchildren, John Robert Campbell and Dr. Amy Campbell Maiocco; and five great-grandchildren.
