Leslie Wilson

Leslie True Wilson passed away peacefully, among family and friends, after a brief illness. The daughter of Albert and Jane Wilson, she was born in Springfield, OH, and spent her young adult years with her Aunt Jean True, in Wyoming, where her heart traveled often. Following in the footsteps of her parents, she was part of the original flower-child scene, in Haight Ashbury, in the late sixties. She has shared many a remarkable tale of hanging with luminaries, such as Timothy Leary and Janis Joplin. She was always looking for the next great adventure, as we trust she is embracing the one she is on today. She settled in Denver CO thirty-four years ago, spent a few years in Treasure Island Fl, and then the last three years she found a home, in Boulder CO.
Leslie was always ready to help out anyone at any time, and found great opportunities for service, within her communities, some of which included her Twelve Step group, the Boulder Center for Conscious Community (BC3), and Nyland Cohousing. She will be remembered for her huge heart, her passion for all animals great and small, her gift of healing hands which she shared quite freely with many, her quest for growth and change, her intimate relationship with the divine, as well as her gift of capturing the essence of life and nature in her photography and writing.
She is survived by her brother, Lance Wilson (Joy), and their three sons, Chris (Kristie), Mark (Dawn), Travis (Stephany), and six nieces and nephews; many members of her True family, in Wyoming; and a vast circle of friends.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 27th, 2014, at 4:00pm, in the BC3, 1637 28th Street, Boulder CO.
Donations may be made to BC3 or a favorite animal shelter, in her name.
