Robert H. Habenicht, 82, of Lafayette, CO, passed away July 20, 2013 at home with his family. Bob was born on December 26, 1930 to Victor W. and Charlotte (Hoefs) Habenicht in Madison, Wisconsin. Bob grew up in Milwaukee, graduating from Shorewood High School in 1949. From 1949-1952 he attended Layton School of Art & Design in Milwaukee and received his BA from the University of New Mexico in 1954. He did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin
, Madison. He held management positions in several printing companies in Indiana and New Mexico. Bob moved to Boulder in 1963 from Sante Fe, New Mexico. He settled in Boulder as the Co-Owner of Pruett Press and went on to work for Blue Mountain Arts & Leanin Tree before starting his own business, J.B. Services, helping artists produce and print their work. Bob married Joy Larsen in 1985. Bob enjoyed motorcycling with the Western Escort Service, bicycling, tennis, contemporary art, travel, international home exchanges, cruising and he loved good food and wine interspersed with conversations about current affairs and politics. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Susanna Frink and son Maurice V. Habenicht. Bob is survived by his wife Joy, daughter Wenda & partner David G. Cox of S. Worchester, NY, stepdaughters Dawn Larsen and Kristin Larsen & her partner John Hueftle both of Louisville, CO, sister Patricia Wenzel & husband Howard of Eagle River, WI, and grandchildren Lauren M. Habenicht, DVM of Seattle, WA and Shanan L. Larsen of Louisville, CO. At Bob's request, no services will be held. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
