I knew Lynda when John was a coach with my former husband Tim Mills at Blair High School in Pasadena. She was a cherished and precious friend. She gave me a baby shower when my daughter Lauren was born (38 years ago!). I still have the beautiful homemade needlepoint she gave me to commemorate her birth. Today I looked up a memorable recipe Lynda gave me from the same era and decided to Google her name. I am so sad at the outcome. My very best to John and the entire family. She was precious then, almost forty years ago. My heart goes out to all that knew her. What a loss. Jill Mills Seal Beach, California

Some of my most precious childhood memories include Lynda and her family. Her warm and joyful spirit was not only a delight to be around but set an amazing example in this world. Lavender, room temperature butter in a dish, and vanilla chocolate chip milkshakes at Rev Taylor's are just some of the things that will always remind me of Lynda. My heart goes out to the entire Lockwood clan. Thinking of you all and sending love, comfort, and peace...

What a privilege it was to work with Lynda at Rev. Taylor's -- she made everything fun! I learned a great deal about baking from Lynda but even more about how to always give your best and make everyone around you feel special, which is always what she did. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, John, and with your kids and grandkids -- we will look forward to seeing Lynda again in Heaven someday. God bless you all and give you the comfort that only He can.

I recall Mrs. Lockwood always smiling and laughing during football games, track meets, and the many times my siblings and I visited her home in Niwot.

As a 1964 BHS graduate, I am truly sorry that Lynda had to deal with this dreadful disease. I lost my wife last June to a form of Parkinson's with symptoms that seemed to indicate Corticobasal Degeneration. She also suffered memory loss, but mostly having to do with numbers. Yes it's a loss for those who loved her, but know that she is at peace. I have found that one must take the time to grieve. My thoughts and prayers will be for you all as you deal with your loss.
