Linda Morrell Obituary
Linda Morrell died unexpectedly on Saturday the first of June, in Loveland, Colorado. She was born on August 10, 1952, in Erie, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George and Dolores Liscum of Boulder. Linda was a well-known interior designer in the Boulder County area. She was also a yoga instructor and adjunct faculty for close to 20 years at the Naropa University in Boulder. Linda grew up in Boulder, graduated from Fairview High school, and earned her bachelor's degree in interior design from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1972, she married Jim Morrell, of Longmont. They were divorced in 2004. She is survived by her fiancé, Paul Kirby, of Loveland, a brother, Gary Liscum of Greeley, a sister, Anita Liscum, and a sister, Gina Brooks, of Littleton. Linda was a bright beautiful spirit, loved by many. Her talents as a designer were inspiring; her generosity towards others was a reflection of her giving soul. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and she enjoyed knitting, traveling, hot springs, and playing Scrabble. She was a patron of the arts and found joy tending her flowers. Linda's beloved and loving dog, Sophie, was a constant companion until she passed away last November. Linda approached life with a zest that few could match, but to which many admired and aspired to emulate. She will be missed immensely. A memorial service for Linda will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 am at the Naropa University in Boulder at 63rd and Arapahoe.
