Frank "Chip" Jackson Obituary
Frank L. "Chip" Jackson III, 66, passed away on February 13, 2014 in Boulder, CO. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Frank L. Jr. and Jean Holford Jackson on December 18, 1947. As an Eagle Scout, Chip honed his love for hunting and fishing which became lifelong passions and took him all over the world including his two favorite destinations, Le Veta, CO and Great Harbor Cay, Bahamas. A lover of sports, he was an avid golfer and a great supporter of the CU Buffaloes Basketball and Football programs. Chip was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger, and always had a story to tell. While a "Flatlander" native of Kansas, he came to love Colorado and considered himself a true Colorado Buffalo. He adored his family and friends and loved to spend time with them. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, and friend and will be missed by many. Chip's family include his loving wife Lois Jackson; his three children Jeff Jackson, Allison Jackson, and Brett Jackson; ex-wife, Jan Jackson; his two sisters, Sandy Siegfried and Nancy England; brother, Bo Jackson; Stepmother, Barbara Jackson and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom. Celebration of his life will be held at the South Club Level, Folsom Stadium at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2014. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Community Food Share, where Chip was a volunteer for many years: Phone: 303-652-3663 and Website: www.communityfood share.org.
