Clarence L. "Wick" Wickersham passed away on December 5, 2012 at Wray Community Hospital. He was 89 years old. Wick was born to Jesse and Millie Wickersham (Powers) on October 10, 1923 in Hereford, South Dakota. Wick proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Coast Guard during WWII from December 10, 1942 to February 14, 1946. Wick worked as a mechanic at Ford for 31 years and also worked as the shop foreman at the CU Transportation Center for 12 years. He retired in 1987. Wick is survived by his daughter, Peggy Hassman (Mike) of Wray, Colorado; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Doris Root Wickersham as well as his daughter, Sharon Ann Gladden. A visitation will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm at Crist Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
