Marion P. Junior Obituary
Marion Junior passed away on February 25th, 2013 in Boulder, Colorado following a sudden battle with an unexpected pulmonary illness. She was 72.
Marion was born on May 10th, 1940 in Boulder, CO to Elizabeth and John "Ring" Dionigi, who preceded her in death. She's also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Glen Dionigi, one sister Yvonne Sutherland, Sister-in-law Marge Dionigi and her mother-in-law Adolphine Junior.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 53 years, Robert Junior of Louisville, her son and daughter-in-law William and Kimberly Junior of Louisville, two wonderful grandchildren Carrington and Kiana Junior of Louisville, brother Rudy (Virginia) Dionigi of Longmont, sister Rose (Herb) Steinbaugh of Louisville, Sister-in-law Grace Dionigi of Arvada, Brother-in-law Ron Sutherland of Boulder, her Father-in-law Leo Junior of Boulder and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
Marion was a lifelong resident of Louisville and was actively involved in organizing and supporting the Louisville Historical Society along with many of her childhood friends. Her family played a major role in the history of Louisville as her father was a Justice of Peace and Mayor of Louisville in its early days of glory. Marion was known for her god given talents of arts and crafting as well as her delicious baked goods. She was most well known for her decades of dedicated hard work she provided in crafting and hand painting the annual Ceramic Christmas Tree Ornaments which became collectable items for town folks and provided support and recognition for the Louisville Historical Society. She cherished her regular luncheons with her lady friends who are all original Louisville High School classmates of hers. She enjoyed china painting, ceramics, crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting, repairing antique dolls, baking for her friends, family, neighbors and spending time with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon for friends and family will be held on Saturday March 2nd, 2013, 1pm – 4pm at Tri-City Elks Lodge 525 Main Street, Louisville, CO.
