Jeanne McNeely of Lafayette passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. She was 88 years old. Jeanne was born February 2, 1925 to Herbert and Signe Strom in Minneapolis, MN. She attended Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis. Jeanne was married to Arnold "Mac" McNeely on September 6, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN and was a homemaker raising their 4 children as they moved with Arnold's jobs from Minneapolis to Michigan, back to Robbinsdale, Rochester, and Golden Valley, MN and then to Boulder in 1968. Jeanne was an active member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, Elks, Kiwanis, and the Boulder Genealogy Society. She spent more than 20 years as a volunteer at Boulder Community Hospital. She loved working on her crafts and sewing, traveling/RV'ing with Mac and researching genealogy. Jeanne is survived by her children: Kathy Redman (Alan), Patti McNeely, Susan Felton, and Scott McNeely; grandchildren Marc Redman, Kristin Voigt and Tyler Felton; great-grandchildren Jessica and Jennica Voigt; her brother Herbert Strom (Bonnie) and niece Jill Dahl. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arnold. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 685 Inca Parkway, Boulder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church or TRU Community Care (formerly Hospice of Boulder/Broomfield Cty, 2594 Trailridge Drive E, Lafayette, CO 80026).
