Trevor Rowley Obituary
Trevor William Rowley, our beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend lost his long, private, and painful battle with depression on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Trevor grew up in Boulder. He attended Boulder Country Day, Summit Middle School and graduated a semester early from New Vista High School in December 2009. Eager to begin his studies, Trevor immediately started mid-year at the University of Colorado Denver where he was a junior studying accounting with the goal of becoming a CPA. Trevor had an amazing work ethic and accomplished so much in his 22 years. By the time he graduated from high school he had already held a number of positions including snowboard instructor, marketing intern for a snowboard and clothing manufacturer, sushi apprentice and server. While in college he was a server and an assistant manager at several well-known Denver restaurants. Eager to learn and apply new accounting and financial skills, he began working as an intern, then as an accounting clerk, at a Denver energy company in addition to his studies. Trevor was also a member of the Business Student Ambassador Committee and Beta Alpha Psi. Trevor was very industrious and always had a plan for the future. Trevor's hobbies included foreign travel and studying international political and economic issues. He was an interesting conversationalist and had a good understanding of the world around him. He recently returned from Asia where he completed a UCD course "Doing Business in China". He also enjoyed cooking, music, investing, snowboarding, and stylish clothing. He is survived by his parents, Art and Sharon, his sister Kirsten, his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Axelson-Madigan (Pat Madigan), his paternal grandparents, Bill and Jan Rowley, his uncle, John Axelson (Dorothy) and his aunt, Cynthia Rowley. He will be forever missed by his family and a diverse group of close friends. A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine Street, Boulder. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Foothills Flood Relief Fund to help those suffering from the recent floods. Contributions can be made online through UnitedWayFoothills.org/floodrelief.
