Joann B. Shultz Obituary

Joann Belle Shultz, 62, of Connellsville (Bullskin Township) passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, at her home, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 11, 1956, in Connellsville, a daughter of Margaret Wingrove Shultz of Bullskin Township and the late J.D. Shultz.

Joann was a longtime resident of Bullskin Township. She was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the Class of 1974 and attended Penn State Fayette Campus. She had worked at the former Murphy's-Ames Department Store for 30 years, and then for Kraftmaid, and then for Cenveo. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Community Church. Joann liked gardening and working in the yard.

In addition to her mother, Joann will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving sister, Peggy Shultz; her twin brother, Dane Shultz and wife Debbie of Bullskin Township; her other brothers, Jay Shultz of Bullskin Township, Adam Paul Shultz and wife Patricia of Warrens, Wis., Timothy Shultz and wife Carol of Bullskin Township, and Troy Shultz of Bullskin Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Joann was predeceased by two nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p m. Sunday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, 724-628-1430. Additional viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday, the hour of service, in the Pleasant Valley Community Church, 1129 Breakneck Road, Connellsville, with Pastor Joseph Wingrove officiating.

A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Association (especially for triple negative breast cancer), 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, in memory of Joann B. Shultz.
