Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Vaughan died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the age of 91. Betty was born on Aug. 28, 1921, in Woodland, and lived in the city her entire life.
Betty is survived by her daughters Barbara Dahl and husband Mervin, Linda Kilkenny and husband Patrick, Janet Vaughan, and Donna Vaughan and fiancé Ron Breckenridge. She is also survived by grandchildren Kimberly Baertsch and husband Todd, James Dahl and wife Sherrie, Mary-Kevin Stuart and husband Patrick, Katie Kilkenny, and Brian Kilkenny and wife Ashlei; as well as great-grandchildren Tara Baertsch, Nathan Dahl, Shelby Baertsch, and Nicole Dahl. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Wilbourn and husband John. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Donald Vaughan, parents Daryl Sr. and Genevieve Blevins, and brother Daryl Blevins Jr.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 25, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Woodland, or a charity of the donors' choice.

We were sorry to learn of the passing of Betty. A wonderful lady, who welcomed us to Woodland and Holy Rosary when we arrived. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
