Kinnamon Jr., Dr. Lester Bryan  
March 3, 1930 - Dec. 7, 2014 Dr. Lester Bryan Kinnamon Jr. passed away Dec. 7, in Woodland. "Larry" was born March 3, 1930 to Lester Kinnamon Sr. and Anne Simmons Kinnamon. He grew up in West Virginia and attended Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. Dr. Kinnamon completed his residency at UC San Francisco in the developing field of psychiatry. He married Alice Johnson in 1958 and they moved to Ft. Collins, CO, where Larry served as a doctor and captain in the U.S. Army. Larry and Alice settled in Sunnyvale, CA where they raised their family and had many lifelong friends and activities including opera, ballet, Bridge and AAUW Supper Club. As a young man, Larry also enjoyed an active lifestyle including playing tennis, mountain climbing, sailing and skiing. Larry spent his career at Agnews State Hospital and the Santa Clara County Department of Mental Health. He was a member of the Northern California Psychiatric Society. In 2011 Larry moved to Woodland, where he resided at Palm Gardens and was lovingly cared for by his daughter, Carolyn. There, Larry enjoyed social activities and maintained his witty sense of humor. He took pride in playing his piano and sharing about his career, his daughters and his granddaughters. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice; brother, Thomas Kinnamon, and his sister, Anne Kinnamon Magnuson. He is survived by daughters, Kristin Kinnamon, of Marysville, WA, Carolyn Kinnamon Nordstrom, of Woodland, and their spouses, Kristi Knodell and Kris Nordstrom; also his granddaughters, Monica and Nicole Nordstrom. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.

Kirkpatrick Jr., Leonard M.  
May 4, 1927 - Dec. 5, 2014 Leonard M. Kirkpatrick, Jr. passed away Dec. 5 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on May 4, 1927 in Hemet, CA to Leonard M. Kirkpatrick, Sr and Helen Louise Cunningham Kirkpatrick. He grew up farming and ranching with his family. He had great stories he liked to share regarding his life. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. While he was stationed at Hamilton Air Force base he met his future bride, Gladys Jean Rutter. He always said she caught his eye because she was taller than all the other girls in the office and her wonderful laugh. They were married May 6, 1951 in San Rafael with close family in attendance. They lived in Tiberon, Perris, Phoenix and then Woodland, raising two children, Leonard and Alice. While in Perris, he worked for McCrometer Corp. Leonard moved his family to Woodland in 1970 when he was offered a manager of sales position working for All-Co. His dream was to be a pilot while in the Air Force, but was unable to due to a high school football injury. His dream came true when he received his private pilots license in 1973. Many times his children joined him when flying to So. Cal on business. Leonard was a past Master Mason of Perris Lodge #411 and member of Woodland Lodge #81. He was also a member of many other organizations including Royal Arch, Yolo Shrine Club, Knights Templar, Ben Ali and Hedrick Ag Center. He was a past associate Bethel Guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel #260 of Woodland. Leonard aka "Uncle Kirk" and Jean volunteered over 20 years and loved every minute. Leonard is survived by his son, Leonard M. (Jeanann) Kirkpatrick, III, children, Justin, Tommy, Candy and their families; daughter, Alice (Steve) Espitallier, children, Anna, Maddie and Nathan; brother, Lawrence Kirkpatrick; brothers in law, sisters in law, many nieces and nephews and friends who were like family to him. Leonard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean. Services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m., at McNarys Funeral Chapel.
