Edward Carl Schmauderer

Edward Carl Schmauderer, 79, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at home with his wife Nancy by his side. He was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Woodland. Ed attended Beamer grade school and Woodland High School. After graduation he entered the Air Force then attended two years of college.
Ed was owner of Emils Shoe store, Diamond E. Western Wear, True Value Hardware and many other enterprises. Ed's true love was flying and all aspects of aviation. He never sat still and was always flying up to his favorite places for the weekend, driving one of his classic cars, rafting, and riding motorcycles with his sons.
Ed is survived by his wife of eight years, Nancy Schmauderer whom he had dated in high school; daughter Kathy; sons Ivan and David; stepsons Bill, Bob and Rick; stepdaughter Nancy; grandchildren Patrick, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Samantha and Lilly; two great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Francis Ethel Schmauderer; and his brothers Bill "Mercy" Schmauderer and Emil Schmauderer.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, at McNary's Funeral Chapel, 458 College St. Woodland. A procession and interment service will follow the funeral service at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 CR-22, Woodland. A celebration of life will be announced at the funeral.
