Ethel Marie Tellock, 96, went to eternal rest at St. John's Retirement Village in Woodland on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. Ethel was born in Lamoure, N.D., on Nov. 1, 1916, to Grant and Nellie Lewis.
Ethel grew up in the Midwest and met her husband, Donald in Minnesota. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 21, 2000. They moved to Snoqualmie, Wash., in 1942 and spent the rest of their married life in the Redmond area. Ethel loved to garden, quilt, bake, and make pine cone crafts. She loved the ocean, clam digging and camping on the beach. During WWII she worked for the Shipyards in Kirkland, Wash., and for The Boeing Company. After their children were raised they became foster parents for 25 years.
Ethel is survived by her three children Harold Tellock (Susan), Marie Williams (Wayne) and Barbara Larson; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great -great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2001, her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at the St. John's Chapel located at 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 17. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Retirement Village.
