Frank Martin Schwarzgruber

Frank Martin Schwarzgruber passed away in Woodland, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the age of 93. Born June 11, 1919 in San Francisco, Frank's family moved to Yolo when he was an infant and eventually resided in Woodland. He attended Holy Rosary School and Woodland High School. He served in World War II
and worked in the family business, Schwarzgruber and Sons Sand and Gravel up until his death.
Frank is survived by his wife, Virginia Lemen Schwarzgruber; his brother, Joseph Schwarzgruber; his two sons, John Schwarzgruber of Woodland, and Tom (Gail) Schwarzgruber of Woodland; daughter, Sue (John Rogers) Schwarzgruber of Ross; and grandchildren Erik and Claire Schwarzgruber and Kelly and Elizabeth Rogers; sister-in-law, Cleo Schreiner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Schwarzgruber.
Frank was a member of the Willow Oak Fire Department where is served as Commissioner for 35 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge
and The American Legion.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, at McNary's Funeral Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland.
