Helen Louise Sambucetti
1927 - Feb. 18, 2013

Helen Louise Sambucetti passed quietly in her sleep Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, beside Gene, her husband of 65 years. She was born in Davis in 1927 where she met Gene in 1946. They were married in 1947 and embarked on a rich and rewarding lifelong journey that saw them start a business, raise a family and travel the world.
Helen and Gene settled in Woodland and were cofounders of Wesco Truck and Trailer Sales. Family was the most important part of Helen's life and she dedicated herself to supporting her husband and children. Her strength and fortitude are second to none and will remain a beacon for family and friends, long after her light here has been extinguished. Helen had a passion for traveling and visited 83 countries gaining dear friends along the way.
Helen is survived by husband Gene, children Richard (with his wife, Heidi), Janet, John (with his wife, Laura) and DJ; grandchildren Matt (with his wife Gio), Annelisa, Ali and Samantha; and great-grandchildren, Matt and Gio's children, Luci and Wyatt. Helen's youngest daughter, Mary, preceded her from this world.
Services will be private. Helen would like donations made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Shriners or other charities benefiting children.
