Felipe Borrego Obituary

May 3, 1937 - Aug. 31, 2008

Mr. Felipe Borrego, 71, of Woodland, died on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008. A resident of Woodland for the past 50 years, Mr. Borrego was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked for 48 years as a forklift driver for Contadina and Hunts Foods. His family reported that Mr. Borrego also liked boxing, camping and fishing.

Mr. Borrego is survived by a daughter, Debra Borrego; a son, Donald Borrego. He is also survived by his sisters, Nellie Ney, Irma Looney, Martha Campos, Irene Flores and Alisa Flores; and brothers, Enrique Borrego and Manuel Flores. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Andrea Borrego-Vidales, Cirena Martinez, Rudy Martinez and Lawrence Borrego; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Felipe Borrego; mother, Consuelo Flores; sons, Manuel and Daniel Borrego and a brother, Bobby Flores as well as by his grandparents, Rosenda Olides and Felix Vasquez.

Services: A viewing is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, at the Church on the Rock, 439 Second St. Donations will be accepted at both services. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
