Arlie Virgil Fann

Arlie was born Sept. 14, 1932 in Muskogee, Okla., to JJ and Pauline Fann and passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 in Woodland, from complications of Myasthenia Gravis.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed at the Panama Canal. After his discharge he came to Woodland where he met his wife Shirley Morse. Arlie worked as a truck driver his entire career. Arlie was an avid golfer who had scored his first hole in one in his late 70s. He was a warm and generous man who always enjoyed spending time with his family.
Arlie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley; daughter Cathy (Walter) Haynie, and son Steven (Debra) Fann all of Woodland. He is also survived by grandchildren Tami Frazier, Jordan Fann, Chrystal Haynie, Tyler Wheeler and Kevin Martin; and great-grandchildren Allen, Matthew & Andrew Green and Avery Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Emogene, Jerd, Leon, Helen and Houston.
Graveside services will be held at the Woodland Cemetery, 800 West St., at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16. Memorial contributions can be made in Arlie's name to the
