June 7, 1933 - Feb. 16, 2013
David J. Bush, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at his home in Stevensville, Mont., surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was blessed by the loving care of his wife and children.
Born in Woodland on June 7, 1933, Dave was the only child of William and Cecile Bush. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanine; son Marc and wife Becky of Stevensville; daughter Beth Mogensen and husband Mark of Victor, Mont.; five wonderful grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Jamie, Alisha, and Danielle; along with three great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Ashtyn, and Mara.
Dave served in the U.S. Air Force for four years as a crew chief and in 1956 married Jeanine Grace Balukoff. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he started his own painting and drywall business in Woodland. In 1984 he and his wife bought their Montana dream property to enjoy their passion of the great outdoors.
Dave had many hobbies including model building, fishing, hunting, boating and landscape design. After his retirement, he was continuously improving the land on his ranch, which he loved, and he fulfilled his life long dream of participating in the construction of his own private airplane.
The family is having a private ceremony on the ranch. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Cancer Research Center.
