May 5, 1932 - Sept. 1, 2014

Janet Thomas, born May 5, 1932, to Harvey and Elsie (MacGlaughlin) Foster in St. Luke's Hospital, Seattle, WA, passed away Sept. 1, of complications of Alzheimer's Disease in Woodland. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hugh Thomas, who she married on May 26, 1954. Together they raised three children, who also survive her: Randy Thomas (Andrea), Shelley Muller (Tom), and Scott Thomas (Cathie), as well as six grandsons, Jeff, Brian, Colin, Peter, Harrison, Matthew, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, and numerous aunts and uncles.

She was raised in Ocosta, WA and graduated from Ocosta High School. She spent her entire career managing physicians' offices in South Lake Tahoe. Her finest gift, however, was her unconditional love and support of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There were very few sporting events or milestones in their lives she missed. She was also a sports fanatic and loved working in her garden.

A celebration of her life will be held Sept. 6, at 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church, 212 2nd St., Woodland, CA.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Janet's name to the at alz.org.
