Louise Cerri died peacefully at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital in Woodland on Monday, May 20, 2013. Born on Oct. 4, 1910, she was 102 years old and the last of seven children born to Rosina Maggenti Cerri and Romeo Cerri. She had resided in St. John's retirement community in Woodland for the past four years so she could be near her nephew, Gerry Kappeler, where he could be supportive of her needs.
Louise is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Romie Santarini of Fortuna, Rosemarie Holewinski of Healdsburg, Jim Graziani of Napa, Marlene Kappeler Arconi of Redding, Gerry Kappeler of Woodland, Judy Steele of San Bruno, and Richard (Bing) Cerri of Colfax. She also has many great- nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her two brothers and four sisters, four nieces and one nephew.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Healdsburg in the future. Her ashes will be interned in her mother's gravesite at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Thank you Dr. Yee and Jamie of Woodland Healthcare, and all of the staff at St. John's for the care that you have given her the past four years.
