Melvin "Bo" Pedroia Obituary
April 11, 1933 - Feb. 9, 2011

Melvin "Bo" Pedroia passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Yuma, Ariz., at age of 77. He was born on April 11, 1933, in Davis.

Bo and his wife, Wanda, enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Bodega Bay and at their winter home in Yuma. Hunting and fishing were some of his hobbies, but hitting the road in their RV was his biggest passion.

Bo worked for Schwarzgruber & Sons Sand & Gravel for 50 years. He was a former president of the Yolo Tail Enders and a member of the woodland Elks, BPO Lodge No. 1299.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Pedroia; sons, Guy Pedroia and wife Debbie, David Mengis and wife Robin, Kirby Pedroia and wife Ellen; daughter, Debi Kester and husband Phil; grandchildren, Niki Bryson, John Pedroia, Brett Pedroia, Dustin Pedroia and Nick Mengis; great-grandchildren, Nyah, Lauren, Ryan, Ava, Marisa and Dylan; also by his brother, Paul Pedroia; and sister, Rainy Bewley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Cezar and Beatrice Pedroia; brothers, Dale and George Pedroia; sisters, Margaret McMahan and Linda Womburg; and grandchildren, Erik and Jordyn Kester.

Bo was known for doing so much for so many. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Woodland Cemetery, 800 West St., followed by a reception at Willow Oak Hall, 17535 CR-97. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Elderly Nutrition Program of Meals on Wheels, 40 N. East St., Woodland, 95776.
