Rita Sandoval Ramirez was given the breath of life on February 27, 1938, in Dos Palos, and went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at her home in Woodland.
She was a Yolo County resident for 67 years. She was employed as an administrative clerk for the Yolo County Sheriff's Department/Animal Shelter for 20 years. She attended and volunteered at Church on the Rock. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1985.
She was a loving mother of Connie Cordero, Eva Ramirez (deceased), Joseph Ramirez (deceased), Victoria Ramirez, John Ramirez, Vincent Ramirez and his wife Cynthia, Rosanna Ramirez, and Charles Ramirez. She was a very proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Rita was the beloved daughter of John and Justina Sandoval (both deceased). She was a part of a fun group of siblings Danny Sandoval, Helen Sandoval, Margie Matta (deceased), George Sandoval, Barbara Lara, Jenny Anchondo (deceased), Fred Sandoval, Sally Sandoval, and Richard Sandoval.
A memorable celebration of life will be at Church on the Rock, 630 Cottonwood St., Woodland, from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, January 18. A reception will immediately follow at the same location.
