Thomas James Bradford, Jr. passed away peacefully on Aug. 18 at the age of 93.
He was born June 17, 1921 in Clovis, CA to Thomas James Bradford, Sr. and Cleo Ethel (Lashley) Bradford. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1939.
During his high school years he was a member of the tennis and softball teams. He was employed by Yolo County Public Works as a draftsman for 35 years, where he designed the first soils map for Yolo County.
Tom met his wife Dolores in 1960 and they were married in 1961. They lived all of their married lives in Woodland. Tom had a passion for fishing and hunting. He was a member of the local Carlton Club and Yolo Bowmen Archery Club.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dolores; sisters, Ethel White and Barbara Johnson, and brother, Frank.
Tom also had four children, Mark, Darla, Michael and Gayle; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Celebration Center Church of the Nazarene, 100 Woodland Ave. in Woodland with a reception following.
Memorial donations may be made to Sutter Hospice.
