Virginia R. Knecht

Virginia R. Knecht, 87, passed away on Saturday, Feb 9. 2013 in Woodland. She was born on July 6, 1925, in Longmont, Colo., to John and Annie Joyce. Virginia grew up in Exeter and Visalia. She married the love of her life, Lou Knecht, on March 20, 1946. After her wedding, she moved to Santa Rosa, with Lou. She was a most loving and caring wife and mother. She worked for the Exchange Bank until she and Lou moved to Woodland in 1967. She worked for Mobil Chemical in the Accounting Department and retired in 1989.
Virginia is survived by her husband Lou; daughter Linda Knecht; sister Maeva Owens, numerous sisters and brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, John R. "Randy" Knecht; parents and sisters Geneva, Dixie and Sylvia. Anyone who knew Virginia will remember her for the kind, sweet and loving person that she was, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors, 175 Second St., Woodland. A private burial will be held at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 CR-22, Woodland.
