William E. (Bill) Turold

William E. (Bill) Turold, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013, with his loving wife, Jane of 58 years by his side. Bill was born to William E. and Pansy Turold on Dec. 7, 1928, in Woodland, where he lived his entire life. He attended Woodland schools while growing up, then in 1950 he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Bill served in Korea achieving the rank of staff sergeant. Upon his return from the service in 1952 he went to work for Johnson Farm Machinery in Davis and later in Woodland where he became the general manager. Bill retired from Johnson farm Machinery after 35 years and founded Turold International where he remained active until his death.
Bill is survived by his wife Jane; daughter Traci Beaird (Al); son Brad Turold (Elizabeth) all of Woodland, Douglas Turold (Gregg) of Chicago; grandson Ryan Gastineau of Natomas; granddaughters Erica and Laura Turold, Alexis Gastineau (Ray); and great-granddaughter Miya Martinez all of Woodland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son William Kenneth Turold, sister Pauline Frommelt, brothers Jack Turold, Eugene (Jim) Turold, Ron Goselin, Don Goselin and his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 22, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 CR-22, Woodland. A reception will follow.
