Suzette 'Sue' Nelson Follansbee

Suzette (Sue) Nelson Follansbee passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her home in Woodland. She was 68 years old. She was born on May 18, 1944, in Niles, to Lillian and Bernard Nelson. She graduated from Washington High School in Fremont in 1962. She worked as a registered nurse throughout her career. Sue married Eugene Follansbee on Jan. 7, 1989, in Woodland and were married 24 years.
Sue is survived by her husband Eugene Follansbee, sister Rossine Johansen (and her husband Nelson) all of Woodland; brother Carl Nelson (and his wife Kathy) of Paradise; nephews Dr. Nelson A. Johansen (and his wife Wendy) of Woodland, Dr. Erik Johansen of Woodland, Donald Johansen of Carmichael, and Michael Nelson of Paradise; niece Sandy Hughes (and her husband Bill) of Redding; sons Thomas Follansbee and James Follansbee, both of Woodland; daughter Susan (Follansbee) Wright (and her husband Mike) of Esparto; and grandsons Chad Turner-Follansbee and Lukas Wright. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Bernard in 1969 and Lillian in 2000.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 850 Pioneer Ave., Woodland, at 11 a.m., Friday, April 12.
