Alice Jurgens

Alice (Campbell) Jurgens TANNERSVILLE- “The Wife” of the late John Thomas Jurgens died on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the home of her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Paul Quinn in California. Born and raised in Tannersville, N.Y., Alice was the daughter of the late Grace (Whalen) and George Campbell. She is survived by her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Paul Quinn of San Marcos, Calif.; daughter Grace Jurgens of Saugerties; and two granddaughers, Alice and Maureen Quinn, both of Coronado, Calif. Alice loved spending her summers in the Catskills, hosting parties for her family and friends, and traveling. Friends and relatives may call at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home on Main Street in Hunter, N.Y. Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A mass to celebrate her life to be held on Monday, June 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at The St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Elka Park N.Y. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in her name to Tannersville Rescue Squad, or Community Hospice, Catskill, N.Y.
