Frederick B. Schussler LOMONTVILLE- Frederick B. Schussler 59, of Lappla Road died at his home Wednesday April 10, 2013. Born in Kingston Nov. 2, 1953, he is a son of the late Frederick B. Schussler, Sr. and the late Valerie (Janaczek) Schussler. The stepson of Judy Schussler of Florida. Fred was a Master Sergeant in The United States Army Reserve he served in Iraq
during operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 with the 8th medical brigade. He has served his country for thirty seven years with service in the 854th Engineer Battalion, the former 364th Army reserve. Active in firematics, he is a former Commissioner, Assistant Chief, and 29 year member of The Lomontville Fire Department. A member of the Ulster County Volunteer Fireman's Association, Hudson Valley Fireman's Association and F.A.S.N.Y. He was also a member of American Legion Post 1512 of Marbletown. Fred was a self employed licensed electrical contractor. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Cindy (Brower) Schussler. Two daughters, Michelle Schmiderer and her husband Anthony, Jennifer Pouliotte of Kingston. Sisters and brothers; Donna Correale and her husband Anthony, Christine Petersen and her husband Steven, Kathleen Fallon and her husband Bruce, Raymond Schussler and his wife Ruth, Joseph Schussler and his wife Wendy, Jeffrey Schussler and his wife Diane. Step sisters, Bonnie Turner and her husband Chuck, Debbie Healy and her husband Ed, and stepbrother Herbie Brower. Grandchildren; Brittany Schonger, Alexis Schonger, Taylor Schmiderer, Jullianna Pouliotte, Samantha Schmiderer, Trevor Schmiderer. Many nieces and nephews also survive. . Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Rev LeRoy Ness will officiate. Burial with military honors at Montrepose cemetery.
